| porsche has always had a round back end since the 70s. and it has been less than desirable visibly at times. They still have to throw on a huge spoiler. Its a design decision with probably advantages and drawbacks in a wind tunnel. The back end of the Z is still a modern design, especially compared to other performance cars like c6 vette with a flat back / lip spoiler. I would love the GT3 dont get me wrong. But the back end is definately porsche, not necessarily efficient or "modern". And the vents on the fenders are functional as the car is really a race car, so I wouldnt call that modern either. My main point is, the most efficient modern design in a wind tunnel might look like a VW beetle. and to race it requires a 5' aluminum wing on the back.
